About the job

To ensure the staff planning process delivers to the needs of the business, while continuously seeking and coordinating business opportunities through optimised workforce planning that is focused on IKEA co-workers, customers and the IKEA business with IKEA values at core.
To ensure competence tools and frameworks are in place to support staff planning knowledge, co-worker development and succession.
To ensure people planning systems reflect best practise of staff planning optimisation.
To support the organisation with simulations and modelling of organisational setup, resource needs and staff cost for new store formats.
To manage reporting and follow up of Staff Planning and Efficiency related KPIs.

Your assignment

Develop People

  • Lead & develop the Ikano Retail Staff Planning Matrix, securing Business and Workforce Navigation competence within Business Navigation as well as spreading it across the organisation.
  • Maintain staff planning competence mapping tools and recommend learning paths to mitigate knowledge gaps.
  • Create and maintain tools and learning platform that support competence development within staff planning community.

Workforce Design

  • Partner together with HR and functional leads to identify opportunities in organisational design to promote efficiency by better task allocation and cross functional co-operation.

Systems owner

  • Acts as a business owner for staff planning systems.
  • Secure functionality of system and continuously explore better ways of working within the environment.
  • Project manage upcoming system upgrades and patches.

Finding new ways

  • Together with functions, actively search, coach and simulate staffing opportunities in a changing retail environment.
  • Support functions during process changes to promote optimisation and automation.

Expansion Support

  • Together with the project teams develop staff costing for investment requests.
  • Play and active role in modelling new organisation setup together with Human Resources for different store formats and advise project managers on opportunities within budgets.

Business Planning

  • Coach and support country business navigators in the business planning- and forecasting process with focus on staff costs and productivity.
  • Secure that there is an accurate follow up and forecasting process of staff planning related items in each country.
  • Benchmarks unit’s productivity measures to identify potential process improvements.

Vendor and contract management

  • Secure that purchasing in my function is taking place according to the principles defined in the Procurement Policy by operational participation in procurement projects and by securing compliance of sourcing requirements, IWAY Working Method and signed agreements.

  • Intermediate to advanced skills of Microsoft Excel.
  • Intermediate analytical and reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of country and local legal requirements in workforce planning.
  • Understanding of computer programming is a plus.
